Tutorial for the Rerollbot for Anno 1800

Log in. Thread: Artisan - Engineer interface instability Forums. Artisan - Engineer interface instability My August Sirs, I am experiencing a problem as I try to raise Artisans to the level necessary to become Engineers. After learning the basics, I have started the game 3 times and am getting good at quick efficient layouts. I have two islands in OW and two islands in NW.

I believe this is standard to acquire the resources necessary to get Canned Food and Fur Coats. By the time my three supporting islands are producing cotton and peppers this surplus has completely evaporated. Then as I proceed to try to force upgrade of Artisans using pause of industries, and addition of farmers and worker housing, the income amount fluctuates wildly.

I do nothing to the layout and over 5 minutes the income will vary from -1, to 1, several times. I have done this three times. It is a real thing. Its the Artisan - Engineer interface instability. What am I doing wrong? Reply Share this post. I have also seen this. I am not sure of the exact details of the mechanism.Having the most optimal Anno City layout is going to be crucial in order to maximize the efficiency of all your buildings and production.

Each residence in this layout is close enough to all dependent buildings to get the maximum number of housing available. Though, this layout is less modular than the second one and you wont have any space for ornamental buildings. The Tier III is fully autonomous and modular, with almost complete service coverage.

The maximum total population implies that all residential premises have been upgraded to level 3. Cost of construction: 47, loans timber Bricks Steel beams Windows.

The first image shows the production layout for basic lumber and the second one for refined lumber. This Bread building production layout will provide you with Bread even without a fully upgraded warehouse. A relatively easy layout for producing Canned Food, which you will definitely need in your Anno playthrough. This is currently the best Sail Production layout that features buildings in a very organised way. For example, once a house is upgraded to Artisan, they no longer require a market nor a pub.

This way, if you upgrade and entire area from Workers to Artisan, you can replace the pub and market with a theater and university. Otherwise you just have a useless market and pub lying around, taking up space and maintenance costs. Save my name and email in this browser for the next time I comment.

Thread: Anno Seed Map Forums. Anno Seed Map Hi I am confused about the number of Seeds, I thought the bigger the numbers bigger the islands but on Reddit, someone said the seeds are not for the islands but the map size?

I players also pirates, because they expand too quickly and take most of the islands that you need so it's always a race against time or war that I hate in sandbox mode so I just use the 4 traders now, so I just would like big islands to build on and get all the resources for Crown Falls.

Also how can you use town halls in the new world for Beer. Reply Share this post. As far as I know all maps are the same size. The number and size of the islands are all that changes with the different seeds. From my experience there is no relationship between the size of the seed and the size of the islands. Honestly I have not found any relationship at all.

Some of the Seeds are better than others. Have you tried buying shares of AI islands?

github anno 1800

Also if you are in Sandbox mode you can grab islands before the AI players do. If you are having difficulty try just 2 AI players and make them easy. You can rename islands any time. I name them for the primary resource they provide. It helps me keep track. I have so many islands It is hard to keep track. Yes you can use Town halls to provide for Beer in the New World.Building layouts give examples of efficient ways of building cities and production districts.

They make the transportation of goods fast and use up as little space as possible. Having efficient production layouts is important because it allows you to maximize the producing capacity of the space available to you. Efficient city layouts allow you to maximize the usage of public buildings and achieve higher population numbers.

A good layout should be both effective and space-saving. There can be as many types of layouts as many types of players exist. A vast variety of layouts ensures that every player can find a suitable layout. However, when planning a layout, several aspects should be considered, depending on the type of layout:. Residences are the main element of all city layouts. They also have to contain roads and basic public buildings including power plants and railway trackswhich fulfill population's basic needs.

Make sure that all residences are in the range of public buildings. Such layouts always have to contain production buildings with farm modules they might require and roads connecting them and ensuring that fast and efficient transportation of goods is possible. Most layouts should also contain a warehouse placed close to final production buildings.

If your layout doesn't contain a warehouse, make sure there is a suitable place for one, right outside the layout's borders. To create new building layouts it is recommended to use Anno Designerinitially created for Annobut which has been updated by developers within the community to support Anno It is easy to use, allows to use icons from the game and automatically calculates how much space is used.

You can read more about this program and download all files here. To post a layout you need to upload its image first, click here to do that. You can change its name there, it's important to remember it because it's required to post the layout on the appropriate page. Using a word "layout" in the image's name is recommended, it makes the image easier to find later, if that's needed. PNG images of layouts can be exported directly from the Anno Designer.

Layouts should be posted only on city layouts and production layouts pages, and using templates: city layout template and production layout template respectively. On the templates pages and their documentation pages you can find further instructions. Sign In Don't have an account? Start a Wiki. Do you like this video? There are just no plans to continue adding content to this, more on that later. But first, let's go over on what has been added or changed - For this Update, we tried to round off the edges a little bit. Map Seeds probably won't get changed ever again, those mod had the same as the Vanilla Ones.

You can ignore that now. This also applies to AI that you have added before this Update. If you so desperatly want to use the original mod, you can just copy it in from the previous update, it is compatible. Alternatively you can visit the Anno Mod Collection on Github.

This Mod is now a fundamental Rebalancing instead of a Reduction, for players who want to play with Influence but just get limited in their efforts of building nice cities.

These are drawn from the Secondary Island Takeover Rewardpool, for those that are interested. UI looks crap and there are no notifications, but it works. Excuse me Sir, but doesn't it have like a module limit and a one Palace per game limit? This one adds Ornamental Variants without effect which can be built infinitely, they do still cost the same. Adding new Content is very nice, but it can only shine if you get balancing and implementation right. The Problem is, if you make a big, modular modpack, it limits you on interconnection.

I have countless new Proof-of-Concepts which have not yet been implemented, because they simply don't work on their own. They need a bigger picture to fit in. The second reason simply is time, I decided to now only focus on the New Horizons Project, which still has to go a very long way before we can call it somewhat finished.Jump to navigation. Figure 1. The path you choose will define your world. Are you an innovator or an exploiter?

A conqueror or a liberator? How the world remembers your name is up to you. Players could not help falling in love with its unique mix of city building, economic simulation, and highly detailed graphics trademarks that the series has managed to maintain over the ensuing 20 years.

Not only did the game make the technically, extremely challenging jump from highly detailed 2D art to lovingly rendered full 3D art, it also underwent a change of developers. After that, the team once again felt the call of history and returned to its roots, both in historic atmosphere and gameplay depth. As previously mentioned, one of the hallmarks of the Anno series since day one has been its ambition to deliver best-in-genre graphics, with loving attention to even the tiniest detail—from the faithful workers in your factories to dogs enthusiastically chasing cats across the bustling marketplaces.

At the same time, the game is handling very complex calculations under the hood as well, to keep track of the output of dozens of production chains and sometimes hundreds of thousands of citizens.

Many Anno players fall outside of what would commonly be referred to as hardcore gamers as defined by those gamers who always keep up with the latest trends in games in hardwareand many of them play no other games apart from Anno, or other building and management titles.

Anecdotal evidence of this can be seen in our community when some players are surprised to find that the PC that ran Anno well in is suddenly struggling with Anno a decade later. And even many hardcore gamers find Anno, with its relaxing pace and ability to be played completely offline in single-player mode, the ideal game to take along on a laptop for some evening entertainment while travelling.

Among all of these factors, when the opportunity to work alongside Intel to optimize Anno for their integrated GPUs came along, we immediately jumped on it, and we are extremely happy how the result of that cooperation has allowed us to welcome a wider range of players than ever before into the Anno community. The optimization work started at the Ubisoft Mainz office with a joint team of Ubisoft and Intel engineers.

That was more than 3x slower than it should be for a good gaming experience on a mainstream laptop computer! The engineering team decided to dive into identifying what the performance issues were, and how to fix those.

Games can be bottlenecked by both, and there are multiple methods to evaluate that.

github anno 1800

Intel GPA tools visualize performance data from your application, enabling you to understand issues from system-level to individual frame performance. Using the Intel GPA system analyzer experiments it was clear that the game is totally GPU-limited, so the team dived into a frame analysis. The tool quickly highlighted that most of the frame time was spent rendering vegetation.

Diving into these draw calls, we identified that the cause of the low performance was a hardware-specific issue. Vegetation was writing in the Stencil buffer as well as using the clip instruction in the pixel shader for alpha testing.

It was found that it is possible to achieve the same vegetation rendering quality without using the Stencil buffer. After some minor code changes the game is now up and running, this time with about 20 fps performance; twice what it was before! Figure 2. Highest-detailed tree mesh shown when the game runs in low-quality settings triangles. We also needed to disable the grass auto-generator that normally scatters thousands of grass and bush meshes onto empty areas and around forest borders, depending on the camera view.

These many small objects pressed too hard on the GPUs triangle throughput and pixel fill rate. Anno is all about many small visual details on the screen.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts.

I just have every building saying there is a low workforce and nothing is being produced. I've never played an Anno game before but the game thus' far only tells me there is a problem, but not how to solve it.

The manage workforce button that allows you to change worker happiness is also not explained. One side is a green arrow the other is a pen.

It doesn't say what any of this means. Can someone provide some light on this please. Showing 1 - 7 of 7 comments. Thaumaturgist View Profile View Posts. What you change with the sliders are the work hours which makes the productivity go up.

If you go to the right, you will make the people unhappy because they have to work more. You need to build more houses to get more people. Also, check what needs they may be missing when you click on a house, if you lack something, the population goes down. Also, when you make new houses, make sure your production buildings are keeping up with the rate of consumption. I'm in the situation where I need wood to make houses, but I don't have the workforce at the lumberyard to get wood, so what do I do?

What do you mean make sure your production buildings are keeping up with the rate of consumption? How do I check that? You can pause another building to free some farmers or make the lumberjack to work overtime to get faster the wood and lower it back after.

As for the consumption, you can check the harbour or a warehouse, it will show you how much you have from a resource and the rate at which your reserves are either growing, on a standstill or lowering. If a resource, lets say fish, is constantly on the red, the people will get angry and start leaving. What I usually do is placing a number of houses, few producing buildings and let the game run in fast speed for a minute or two to check how is the resource moving.

I have an excess of workers, but not of farmers. Upgrading builders lowers my farmers to critical levels, so before I upgrade buildings, how do I obtain a larger farmer workforce? Its simple Stitch, you build more farmers residences. If you upgrade all your farmers to workers you have no farmers left.

The key is to have buildings for all the different worker types, if you need more workers upgrade some farmers to workers and then if you have too little farmers you build more farmer houses. If they are not satisfied you wont get more population.
